Dr. Michael Tenenbaum


Dr. Michael Tenenbaum

Dr. Tenenbaum attended McGill University where he received both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. He worked for a year at the Herzl Family Dental Clinic of the Jewish General Hospital. He has practiced in the West Island since 1975 and in 1985 became a founding member of the West Island Health Centre in Dollard des Ormeaux. Over the years, Dr. Tenenbaum has ensured that everyone who works at the West Island Family Dental Centre shares his vision to provide a family-oriented community-based dental practice.

Dr. Tenenbaum’s leadership and achievements have been recognized with Fellowships at the American College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. His long-term involvement in organized dentistry includes previously serving on the Council of Presidents of the Federation of Dental Societies of Greater Montreal. He recently completed his term as International President of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.

Volunteer and philanthropic work in the community are a priority for Dr. Mike. His involvement includes having served as President of Camp B’nai Brith Montreal. His dedication to providing superior dental care in a comfortable, welcoming environment has made the West Island Family Dental Centre a cornerstone of the community.

Dr. Joseph Szwimer

Dr. Szwimer received his dental training at the McGill School of Dentistry in 1980. He then completed a one year post graduate residency at The Montreal Children's Hospital. He was a staff associate professor at McGill for twelve years, President of the Federation of Dental Societies of Montreal and President of the Alpha Omega Mount Royal Dental Society. Dr. Szwimer treats his patients with respect and compassion paying careful attention to their  needs and helping them to achieve optimal dental health.

Dr. Waxman graduated from McGill University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree as well as a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (1987). He has been living in the West Island and practicing dentistry for over twenty five years. His ongoing  involvement within organized dentistry includes previously serving as President of the Federation of Dental Societies of Greater Montreal and as President of the Montreal Chapter of  Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.

Dr. Jordana Delnick graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Laval University in Quebec City in 2012. She then completed a multidisciplinary residency program at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. This program focused on treating medically compromised, as well as, healthy children in a hospital setting. She is dedicated to offering the best possible care to each and every patient. Dr. Delnick's calm demeanor and sensitivity towards patients ensures a positive and stress free experience for both children and adults.

Dr. Leya Bahlou


Dr. Leya Bahlou

Dr. Bahlou obtained her Doctorat in Dentistry, International Profile, in 2013 from the Faculty of Dentistry at Laval University.  In 2014 Dr. Bahlou, motivated to acquire expertise, continued her postdoctoral studies at Laval University in periodontics as well as a Master’s degree in dental sciences on the prevalence of peri-implantitis and its associated clinical factors.

Dr. Bahlou now practices periodontics and implantology in private clinics in Montreal, Laval and Vaudreuil-Dorion. She is a Fellow-Elu of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a member of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec and the American Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. Bahlou is an empathetic periodontist, and dedicated to providing the best care to her patients. She will treat her patients with the highest standards of professionalism and in the most comfortable environment to provide an optimal quality of oral care.
